Every Girl Needs Some Seaman

Always leaving you waiting for more

So, again I'm merely making a little comment on here to wet all your appetites for when I really get some time and write. I must say, I have accumulated quite a bit to blog about...do you think the new dictionary will have blog listed as both a noun and a verb? Anyway, the main reason for my blog shortage is again my crazy work schedule. I am very poor and live pay check to pay check, so deal with it. I just completed a 60 hour work week - and I had a day off.

Fortunately for me, I love going to work, and they pay me! My manager is da bomb! She invited myself and this other girl that works there, Adonia, to go watch 40 Year Old Virgin this morning, and although I will hopefully devote a little more time to it in a future blog, let me just say right now that it was much more than I expected. It manages to be completely obscene and hilarious while never reaching the level of "that would never happen" that Wedding Crashers did (still a funny film, but the whole 'spoiler alert!!!' girl ending up with the stalker type film is so overdone and bullshit). Actually, 40 YOV presents a somewhat touching buddy/love story that will likely remind you of a dorky guy you've known at some point. Ok, enough on that, I need to write a whole blog on it, not go on and on here and now.

So much has happened the past few weeks that was typical Seaman ridiculuous that all of my loyal fans will be begging for more when I actually get it all jotted down. In addition to the list I proved two blogs ago here are some topics you can look forward to. I really sincerely plan and hope to get them all in at some point.

Had to call aforementioned manager, Monica, at 9 AM to tell her I was too drunk to show up to work on time...but why you may ask? (side note, being cool like she is, she only wanted to know the story in exchange for not caring)

Tried to become a landlord in my search for emergency housing, and learned that there are levels way below trailer trash.

Agreed to sign a lease at a house I have never been to...still haven't been there yet actually

Invented a "boys of dollar bill" poll that has shaken the very foundation of the store (total 100% exaggeration)

Bought and watched MSU at UM 2004 DVD, comments for anyone lookin for a sports fix

and much much more!!!

Before I go, I want to mention two things. One, I still hope to tell some classic stories from long ago as I also mentioned 2 blogs ago. Secondly, I got about as many comments on the last blog as I have in the past 2 months! First, I got one from some random girl Emily, who if you're reading this you already know that I went to her blog and commented back that I wasn't weirded out, and that I am actually flattered. My second comment was from J Keeler, who is absolutely right, I do need to get a good entry in soon. The last comment is referring to the poll I claimed I may write about above. Apparently that comment makes it clear that I am the most likely guy Julie would sleep with from work. More on that later.

Alright, time to go...I need about 5 and a half hours sleep before I go back to work for another 9-10 hour day, then I get a whole day off to move. Sweetness. Hope to please you all soon, in both the written form and orally.

I was supposed to blog tonight....

but I got home too late and was too tired. I will try and get something written tomorrow morning if I get the chance. I may not because I am supposed to potentially go check out this apartment to sublet for the next few months. I apologize strongly. I didn't even feel up to watching the Real World when I got home, so don't feel too slighted.

well, well, look who's finally updating their blog...

That would be me who's finally updating their blog; alas, it will be short, sweet, and to the point. I haven't really put a whole lot on here lately not because I haven't had anything to say, but because I've been working about 50 hours a week here lately and just haven't fit any writing into my schedule. I will admit that I do actually have available time, but I often spend it playing NCAA 2006 as I'm currently on a weird schedule that allows few other activities at 2 AM every night. In all reality I have more to talk about than I can even conceptualize right now, so let me just say I'm going to make an honest effort here the next few days to play less NCAA and watch less television and spend more time on here entertaining the most loyal fans. Since it's currently late at night and I'm actually a little tired I'll leave with just one thought - who the hell wrote that thing about calling to get a degree as a comment on my last blog? Sure, it was either A) a joke from someone I know or much more obviously and likely B) some bot advertising scheme sent to everyone on here, but the message was especially interesting because it dealt with planning for the future and said it thought I was a candidate based on reading my blog. My instincts tell me that the coincidences (I have written about grad school, taking the GRE, moving, changing something about my life) are at the very best comparable to the astrology phenomenon. What I mean is look at the descriptions for a particular sign in some magazine or something - they are so general and vague that just about anyone could fit. Wow, they pegged me just right, I'm fun and personable but have a little bit of stubbornness in me...wait, I know a lot of people that would agree with that...hmmmm. I also know a lot of college kids who write blogs that want to advance their careers. Coincidence? I'll let you decide.

Anyway, let me just give a rundown of some things I've done or thought about lately that may make an upcoming entry so you can all get really excited.

attended a wedding
drank alcohol
went canoeing
watched new movies
watched television talk shows
thought about football
went out for Adam Cole's B-day
Had a 2 AM pool party
enjoyed Real World
looked for housing last minute
and more!!!

Alright, on that note I leave you with one last bit of good news - I'm considering posting some stories from my past for all of you who want to revisit a great memory or get to know more about me. The range will be interesting to say the least, from the absurd to coincidental to obscene. Ok, bed time yo! That one was for you Adam.

Blogging time

It's time to blog! Do you know why exactly it's time to blog in my mind? If you guessed that it's because I'm drunk right now you win. The wprst part is that I'm only home right now because I happened to think that I was sober enough to drive, and since I don't think I've made one typo yet maybe I was, but it was a little debatable I suppose. There is SO much I would love to blog about right now that my buzzed mind can't make out what to say next. I really miss it when I don't blog as much as I should. I want everybody out there to know just how completely ridiculous I am most of the time, and what better time to reveal these things than when drunk? It's a little unfortunate I guess that I usually write these when I'm stone cold sober in the morning I guess. Alright, I'm just going to get down to business and say the first thing that comes to my mind...here goes...

First off, I saw not only one, but two of the girls that I gave the infamous lap dances to a few weeks ago. Their names are Jess and Holly, and I must say that either Holly is a very unfriendly person when she's drunk or she is undeniably uncomfortable around me at this point. She can't even barely stand to look me in the eye for more than a second. Upon seeing her she ran almost immediately (funnily enough, she ran to go talk to this guy...a guy who was a part of the group I went out with, so she ended up having to sit right next to me, although I didn't so much as say another word to her...long paranthesis). The other girl, Jess, humored me for a minute and talked, but the conversation ended with a very ubrupt, "OK, I'm actually going to go now." Not even an explanation of where or why, just that exact line. For as much as Meredith tells me that they loved the lap dances, they sure don't seem as enthused with it now as they did that night.

While I'm thinking about it, I find it completely mandatory to mention why I was even out tonight (Thursday night at Skeeps for anyone keeping track at home). It was actually kinda random (I hear that I use that word way too often, but I stand by it because my life makes no sense), as I would have never expected the phone call that I received. Basically, way back in the day I hooked up with this girl, and through her I became friends with several girls from her hall. They eventually all became rommates and I got to know a few of them. Well, a couple weeks ago I ran into a few of these girls and one of them, Kallyn, offered to take down my number in hopes of hanging out since she was to become a "super senior" and wouldn't know very many people on campus anymore. I pretty much assumed that I would never receive such a call, but alas, tonight I did, and I gladly accepted her offer, especially when I found out that many old old friends from the dorm would also be present. Let me elaborate by saying that Kallyn is a very nice sweet girl, and I am actually quite glad now that she was brave enough to call a guy who is all but a total stranger, as it was an interesting night to say the least.

Let my drunk ass get to the point now as I'm rambling on about random (that word again) encounters that mean nothing to anyone. There was a very funny situation going on tonight that I feel that my loyal readers may find humorous. To make a long story short Kallyn just started "hanging out" with this guy, but it just so happens that he is the best friend since high school of her ex. Oddly enough, the ex calls and says he's coming to skeeps as well. The new guy goes to meet him outside to explain the situation, and eventually they're all seated at the same table with myself, and all the girls leave to dance. Out of nowhere the ex guy just says something like, "Wow, could this be any more awkward?" Everyone in an agreement, and I even began to feel awkward after a little while. I think everything will work out in the end, but try and imagine sitting there with 3 guys you've never even met prior to that night, and having to endure the first encounter they've had knowing one is moving in on the other's ex, and it's actually a little funny in the end. I must admit, I got a chuckle or two out of it.

What else is there? Why am I asking you, you're reading this now, you can't help me! There is a lot probably...I bet...I don't remember. If anyone thinks this is well written despite my numerous pitchers of Coors then I will be especially proud to hear that i write well when drunk. Oh, I just remembered something new. Steve and I, not to mention a bunch of friends from back home, are going on our annual canoeing trip this sunday, and it's actually going to take place only about 3 miles from my apartment. I'm psyched to say the least. Ok, nobodly else cares, what else is there to say...

Well, that's enough for one drunken entry I think. I'm sure that come tomorrow I'll think of like 80 things I should I wrote about instead of this dumb shit. That's ok though because if you made it this far without giving up maybe you're as dumb as I am. I'm tired too, so maybe I'll blog you all on the flip side. Seaman out!
